Kelly + Alan Wedding @ Talula's Garden + Washington Square / Philadelphia

"Love is patient; love is kind. Love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude… It does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends." 1 Corinthians 13

These words traveled beyond the wedding ceremony in Talula's Garden and into the skies above Washington Square Park on a sunny day in June. After dancing with the sunshine, the sweetness of these words landed on a promise. A promise between two people to be partners in life and love.

As Kelly and Alan began their love story in Philadelphia as grad students, they knew it would be but one chapter of a book they would write together. This chapter, their wedding day, is one Charles and I were so very honored to help capture.

The June wedding day began in Society Hill where Kelly wore her beautiful lace Tadashi Shoji dress with a family heirloom cape and necklace. Understated, chic, and beautiful... Surrounded by close friends and loved ones, Kelly and Alan read letters from each other before heading out to their first look at the Old Merchants Bank with a few pics at the 18th Century Garden, and the Original Bookbinders. Next stop: Talula's Garden -- a true urban oasis if there ever was one! -- for their wedding.

The day featured Alan's Scottish heritage with a bagpipe intro (that should be the next wedding trend maybe?), Kelly and Alan's lovely cutie-pie dog, Lucy, as the ring-bearer, a guest wearing a Kilt (Scotland was in the house!), and plates and plates of yummy food and desserts. Toasts were made, glasses were clinked, pics were snapped, and memories were created…

Kelly + Alan, thank you so much for everything and we're so happy for you both!
